The economic vitality, physical appearance and perception of the community's district acts as the barometer of health for the entire community.
To that the Downtown Sheridan Association, a not-for-profit volunteer organization, is actively working to maintain a healthy downtown by focusing on historic preservation and economic development.
The Downtown Sheridan Association was founded in 1985 and became incorporated in 1987. DSA follows the approach by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, also known as the Main Street Program.
The key to the Main Street Program is to improve the image of our community's downtown through a balanced and comprehensive process that requires incremental improvements in four areas:
