Reconstructing Gould Street in Sheridan, Wyoming was a first step
in a comprehensive master plan aimed at revitalizing the historic
downtown district.
Classified as a "Collector," Gould Street funnels an
estimated 5000
vehicles
a day through this district, which accommodates an increasing number
of small and medium size businesses.

Working with the City of Sheridan and the Downtown Sheridan
Association, the following goals were identified:
- Replace the aging infrastructure
- Reconstruct the pavement section
- Enhance the pedestrian experience
- Install historic lighting
Construction of the project was completed in three phases in order
to minimize the impact to adjacent businesses. Construction was
completed in 1993.
