What will it mean for Sheridan?

The economic vitality, physical appearance and public perception of the community's downtown district acts as the barometer of health for the entire community. The formation of a Downtown Development Authority  (DDA) will maintain our downtown as the center of the community. The creation of the Authority and the District:

• Will serve a public use and will promote the health, safety, prosperity, security and general welfare of the inhabitants of the District and of the people of this state.
• Will halt or prevent deterioration of property values or structures within the central business district of Sheridan, Wyoming
• Will halt or prevent the growth of blighted areas within the District
• Will assist the City of Sheridan in the development and redevelopment of the District and in the overall planning to restore or provide for the continuance of the health and benefit the property within the boundaries of the District.
